About the Author

Dr Daud Batchelor is Senior Research Fellow at the International Institute for Islamic Civilisation and Thought (ISTAC), Kuala Lumpur, part of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), and Adjunct Fellow at IAIS Malaysia where he headed the Science, Technology, and Environment Unit. He has a multi-disciplinary industrial and academic background — PhD from Universiti Malaya winning its Research Award, and Masters in Islamic Civilisation, and Sciences, respectively, from IIUM, Griffith University, and University of London. Daud is co-author of Islamic Perspectives on Science and Technology.
