By Meraj Mohiuddin, Whiteboard Press, Paperback, 440 pages
Born out of a need for a fresh approach to classical texts, this book offers an intelligent presentation of a wide variety of scholarly viewpoints on the story of Muhammad and Quranic revelation. It also seeks to address a number of controversial topics that have been overlooked or dismissed in other works.
Prophetic biography is one of the most important of our religion’s sciences, and this new addition to the increasingly rich and varied literature now available in the English language is both useful and accurate in its presentation and content. Drawing from several existing works of Sirah, this novel textbook format with copious images, maps, and diagrams will help visually-oriented readers to better grasp certain aspects of the Sirah.
"Many biographies of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH have appeared in recent years. None, however, display the scholarly depth, methodological precision and factual clarity of Meraj Mohiuddin's Revelation: The Story of Muhammad (PBUH)" - Imam Zaid Shakir, Zaytuna College
