Colourful hand-stitched bookmark on 100% cotton, sourced from one of the last remaining factories in Bethlehem. The word for rose in Arabic is وَردَة (warda), and wardati means “my rose”. A sweet, hand-finished piece that adds a small moment of charm to any book, while supporting women and their families in the West Bank.
Producer: Threads of Hope
A newly formed embroidery collective based in Bethlehem. It was established in response to the rising unemployment across the West Bank due to Israel's war on Gaza. All t-shirts, hoodies, and sweatshirts are ethically sourced from a Palestinian factory in Bethlehem. Each piece is designed and embroidered by a group of women, including one who is battling cancer while caring for two children with intellectual disabilities.
